Small Urns
What size urn do I need?
The size of the urn depends upon the body weight of the individual who is cremated. Please link to this page for further information.
Who paints these urns?
All these urns are painted by Robbin Kimberly Robertson. To learn more about Robbin, please click here.
What are the urns made of?
Our urns are made of Baltic Birch, Pine or Bass wood depending upon the style.. They are carefully assembled with glue and brads and then carefully sanded prior to painting. We use acrylic paints and finish the urns with a polyurethane outer coating.
How do I get the ashes into the Urn?
At your request, the funeral home will deposit them directly into the urn for you or you can do it yourself simply by pouring or gently transfering them with a large spoon or similar utensil.
How are the urns opened and closed?
The lids of these urns are fitted to provide a snug seal but still be removable by simpling lifting the top off. If you desire a more fixed seal, wood glue, or clear silicon adhesive along the lip of the urn and then by placing the top onto the urn and allowing the sealant or glue to dry.
What are my shipping options and costs?
Standard shipping is free and will require between 7 and 11 days. Overnight and second day delivery is also available for an additional fee. Overnight and second day delivery may not be available if the item is not ready to ship or the order is received and acknowledged too late in the day. Please call us at 512.422.7896 for further information. For custom designs, I can normally complete an order within a couple of days and will ship it to you as soon as the paint and sealants are fully dry (normally in 3-5 days).
Can you design an urn with a "special" or custom design?
Yes, we offer a number of standard designs in our gallery but are also available to paint custom designs. Please e-mail, call or fax your requests and we will work with you to create a more personal urn.
